Researchers have developed an artificial intelligence model that can identify the emotional states of tennis players by analyzing their body language during matches. To conduct their study, researchers used videos of tennis players recorded during actual matches to train the AI model. The model was able to identify affective states with an accuracy of up to 68.9%, sometimes proving to be even superior to human observers’ assessments.

After being fed with this data, the AI learned to associate body language signals with different emotional reactions.
