Alexis Hanquinquant and Nantenin Keita will be the French flag bearers at the Paris Paralympic Games

At the upcoming Paris Paralympic Games, paratriathlete Alexis Hanquinquant and sprinter Nantenin Keita will have the honor of carrying the French flag. Alexis Hanquinquant, 38 years old, emphasized during an interview with Radio France’s Sports Directorate the importance of this role. He stated: “We aim to convey a positive message about the Paralympic Games and to introduce parasport to people who don’t know what it is.”

A similar commitment to the Paralympic and Olympic Games

For Alexis Hanquinquant, the Paralympic Games represent “the same commitment, the same desires for success.” He explains that “the surpassing of oneself is the same as at the Olympics, with the small exception of doing it with either a guide, a wheelchair, or some sort of assistance.”

In addition to the competitive aspect, the paratriathlete is excited about discovering the Olympic village, which he sees as “this mythical place of the Games,” and meeting “athletes from all around the world.” He also hopes that the Paris Paralympic Games will generate the same enthusiasm, fervor, and emotions as those of the Olympic Games.
